"Dahmakan" Green Design office // Workspace Project 2019
"Dahmakan" now known as "Pop Meals" is a food delivery company in Malaysia founded in 2014. They aim to blend culinary culture and passion with advanced technology to deliver a world-class eating experience. The name is created from the idea of using local, everyday phrase to capture essence of the Malaysian hospitality. "Dahmakan" is a Malay language phrase which mean "have you eaten?"
The site location is a office space located in INTI International College & University, Subang Jaya, Malaysia. This project is a workspace project specify on choosing a company app which has to be high demand among university students. Converting the space into an company office branch for specify work duties.
Bringing nature into workspace using Biophilic Design is the concept that I decided to go for. I wanted to create the space connecting human and nature. This inspiration came from the "dahmakan" logo and color scheme. It gave me an idea on the concept approach. The key elements for my design is natural lighting, wood material and greens.
The space consists of reception counter, a common area, waiting area, a workstation area and pantry. From the 3D visual perspective, I used a lot of wood material and the color green into the space design.
